After 12 months of no exercise and eating whatever I wanted, I had put on 13kg. For someone that has always been fit and eaten well, it was a wakeup call. During Simon’s shred program I lost close to 8kgs. I then went on to lose nearly 14kgs in total. Simon worked with me to incorporate new programs, with further progression and hitting personal goals. I started my shred at 8 weeks postpartum I had a body fat percentage of close to 30, now 18 months postpartum I’m sitting just under 17% with an overall transformation to my physique and a dramatic change to muscle mass. Fist pump!
The variety in food options, exercises and that they were always adaptable to my current lifestyle. I never “went without”, I had flexibility every day and I’ve never missed out on a social outing for a meal or ever had to be concerned about my diet.
Consistency is key! But the fact that Simon doesn’t over complicate things, his programs are in Black and White and are simple to follow makes it easier to be driven through the process. As a busy working mum, I need food that can be easily prepared, free able and adaptable to my family. Having everything written out for you, takes out the over thinking. Ok, I’m eating this today, working this muscle group and this is how I’m moving and fuelling my body. Adapt and make the program a part of your daily routine and the hard work pays off.
Simon is a down to earth, approachable and just a legend! No question is ever too silly, and he is your backing support every step of the way. He will be your motivation, for as long as it takes, constant check ins, tweaking of programs and constantly working overtime to make sure a program is the right fit. The best piece advice I’ve ever received was from Simon…….don’t get too caught up in the scales, take constant photos they will be your motivation and where you’ll see the most change.
I’m a big believer of practice what you preach! Simon is a true testament to this, and you can physically see that he takes his health seriously. So, when setting my own goals, I want someone fighting in my corner that will have my best interests at heart because they are aware of how important their health is.
I would recommend this to anyone looking at starting a new program. I personally have tried many in the past and to be quite honest was skeptical to try this. But the results speak for themselves! If you follow these programs as set out by Simon, you will quickly see positive changes to the body that will become the motivation you seek to stay driven to see change. With Simon’s program it was never a chore to complete the daily workout, it has become an addiction to see progress and a habitual part of everyday to keep showing up! Because that’s where the magic happens!

During the SQ Fitness Shred program I lost 9.7kg. What I loved about the program was the check ins with Simon regularly as well as the flexibility we had with the training and meal plan that he prepared for me. Knowing I had to check in with Simon ensured my success.
I felt like if I didn’t have a good week I would be letting Simon down, as well. It really forced me to stay on track with my diet and training. Simon is genuinely interested in how you’re going in his programs, unlike so many other coaches out there who would be just happy to sign someone up and not hear from them again. I signed up for SQ Fitness over 12 months ago and have never looked back. During my first program, I wanted to lose a few kilos and tone up a bit, my results in a short period time were amazing, I lost over 12 kg and my whole body was toned. I felt awesome, more confident, had so much energy, and dropped some clothes sizes.
The reason why I achieved this is because of Simon, who was there helping me achieve my goals, answering all of my questions promptly and making changes if needed. The food on your meal plan is delicious and has so much variety. I started the 8 week journey not really knowing what to expect, but hoping that I could lose a little bit of weight and feel better within myself. I was amazed that I consistently lost weight each week and eventually lost almost 10kg.
The program was structured in a way where the only work I had to do was follow the program. The gym work outs, the meals and recovery were all meticulously designed to ensure I could achieve the best results I could.

I first started with SQ Fitness in June 2016 after suffering a chronic foot injury. After filling in a questionnaire about my current habits with nutrition and exercise, it was all systems go. Simon was very responsive and very professional.
The program was emailed back to me with a clear and concise nutrition and training plan, set out in a format that was easy to understand and follow. Although challenging, I enjoyed the program due to the ease of it all. In 6 short weeks I lost 8.2kgs and feel amazing! Being a mum of 2 and working the night shift, I found myself eating unhealthily and avoiding the gym like the plague. I finally mustered the courage to sign up to Simon’s 6 week Shred Program. It was a stress free process, where I answered a survey regarding my health and goals and then a tailored program was sent to my email within hours. At 179cm tall I had let myself go, gradually over the years and reached 92.3kg, feeling sluggish, grumpy, unhappy with myself and knew I needed to make a change. As a PE teacher by trade and a qualified Personal Trainer, I had no excuses. Motivation and accountability was the key to keeping me on track and Simon from SQ Fitness ensured I stuck to my program through regular support even when I slipped up (not often). Whilst completing Simon’s Online Shred Program I lost a total of 7.4 kgs. I was originally 80.4kg and I got down to 73 kgs. The best part about completing this program with Simon is that he continually checks in with you to make sure your program is as tailored as it can be and that you’re on track.
Why do I think I got such amazing results? I think it was because of the dedication that Simon puts into making the programs as specific as he could for me, his dedication to his work is amazing and it motivated me to do my best to show that it really does work.
Something that also helped with my motivation was the weekly photos and check-ins, while completing the program you could see the scales reducing. When comparing the photos each week it gave me that little extra push that I needed to keep smashing my goals every week.
