I read an article the other day where research had shown a whopping 75% of people had already fallen off the band wagon when wanting to achieve their new year’s resolutions and all by as early as Jan 24th. This to me is crazyyyyy! 3 out of every 4 people drop off by Jan 24th. #Wow

Why is it that so many people can easily fall off track with their goals? I genuinely believe it has nothing to do with their body but with their mind set. Please don’t take this the wrong way but I at times genuinely find it over bearing the sh#ty excuses people tell themselves as to why they CAN’T do something. I find it frustrating as excuses seriously sound good to ONLY those who are making them up and I know how much these excuses are holding people back.  The only way we ALL reach our full potential in life is to live in a place where they (excuses) simply don’t exist.

So how do we get rid of them? It all goes back to investing time and energy on the mind. Your thoughts become your life so if you keep telling yourself you can’t do something then it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that of course is what is going to be the outcome.

The point of this email isn’t to not make anyone feel bad it is to simply explain just how important it is that we invest in our minds on this journey in order to achieve SUCCESS!

I highly suggest spending time on improving one’s mind set FIRST which is exactly what I too have been doing. Below are some tips on how you can do this:

1. Meditate. DAILY. There are 1000’s of studies out there that show people who meditate daily live healthier, happier lives. Downloading the ‘smiling mind’ app can be a great way to kick start your mediation journey. Do it today 🙂

2. Spend time each day focusing your energy on things that you’re grateful for. This shifts your mind set from negative to positive straight away. I personally love doing this one.

3. Listen to positive podcasts. This is a big one and something I have been doing a lot lately and found to be extremely helpful. Rather than wasting time listening to the radio listen to positive affirmation podcasts instead and watch how much of a difference this will make to your mind set.

4. Audit your life. Yep I truly mean it. Sit down and write down all the negative things that don’t make you happy and also don’t be shy to write down the negative people that also bring you down. Then without any hesitation remove all those negative things from your life. Have the strength and courage to do it. This one will go such a long way into helping you on your journey – I GUARANTEE it. Be ruthless too this is 2018 there is no time to be wasted on negative people that bring you down. Go for it!

5. The last one is do it for YOU guys! This one is huge. Write down all the reasons why YOU want change and WHY you want to better yourself and make it about YOURSELF not about others or to impress others as ultimately self-love is what’s most important and doing things for YOU should always come first.
