Here is a fantastic visual representation of how your body sees food! When it comes to fat loss there are no magic foods that get you lean. All your body knows is the caloric number coming in from protein, fats and carbohydrates from the foods you CHOOSE to eat each day. When wanting to lose weight no foods should be off limits. You CAN eat all your favourite foods you just need to be smart.
For example if you ate your total calorie goal that day (to lose weight that is) but then you chose to eat a massive bowl of broccoli that night (yuck lol)) guess what this broccoli would in fact still make you GAIN weight as now this particular food has put you into a calorie surplus for the day. Yes, you can still gain weight from “healthy” foods if you consume too much of them.
In summary there are no magic foods you need to consume to get lean. You don’t need to restrict yourself from your favourite foods. Stop looking at foods as “healthy” and “unhealthy” instead start educating yourself what the macro breakdown of each food is then make them fit into your daily needs!
Weight loss is not HARD in my opinion in fact the equation is extremely simple you just need to understand what your body does in fact need each day to put yourself into a negative energy balance (aka calorie deficit) THEN stay consistent.
