So many times I get asked each week:

What are the key’s to succeeding in this game?

How was I am able to transform myself from a skinny, skrawny 18 year old kid into a body and mind I am now extremely proud of?

With 13+ years experience in this game and now over 7+ years experience working for my self running my own personal training business I want to pass on as much knowledge as I can and help as many people succeed in this game.

HOW TO TRANSFORM YOUR BODY!

  1. Stop looking for a quick fix. I know I run 6, 8 and 12-week challengers but this is only to provide people with the education and knowledge to then move forward with their goals on their own for many years afterwards. Make this a permanent lifestyle change rather than looking for a quick fix. This is HUGE!
  2. Focus on losing fat and weight in a sustainable fashion. So many times people want to lose weight quickly but if we do this we are increasing the chances and probability of a potential rebound which will then leave us more frustrated than EVER. Always aim to lose weight slowly and gradually.
  3. Educate yourself and hire a professional. This is the best thing you can do. I even have a coach I go to regularly for advice with my own diet. I love it! The worst thing you can do is keep playing the guessing game with your workouts and nutrition (like I did for years) and then in turn get frustrated with your results and give up. That is a perfect linear cause and effect right there.
  4. NUTRITION, NUTRITION, NUTRITION. Honestly guys nutrition is the key. If you want results you need to dial this in. Learn what your body NEEDS to build muscle (IE: 2-3g of protein per kg of body weight) and learn what your body needs to lose weight (IE: eat in a calorie deficit aka burn more calories than what you consume) then stay CONSISTENT!
  5. Understand the importance of lifting weights. Countless studies and through my own 13+ experience in this game has proven that lifting weights is the absolute BEST way to build that lean, muscular look. Don’t be afraid of lifting weights people and don’t be afraid to get STRONG.
  6. This leads me to my next tip. I think it’s vital in this game to follow a structured workout program. Winging your workouts each week and not knowing what your doing only leads to plateauing and getting constantly frustrated. Think of it like this. If you’re following a structured, tailored program 100% specific to your needs/goals and your current fitness level we already have you more engaged and on track. Now throw in you being consistent in overloading your body (which means every week you 100% know you’re getting stronger in those exact workouts for a 6 – 8 week period) then that right there is how we guarantee our body is changing. Following a structure training program and overloading the body is absolutely vital in this game and I don’t care how many times I need to repeat it ????.
  7. My last piece of advice is to make sure you are measuring and tracking your progress. Don’t rely solely on the scales this will only encourage a negative relationship with this lifestyle. Instead go off how your feeling, your clothes, your measurements and your weekly or monthly photos in the same spot for consistency.
