We ALL know the story you start out on your fitness journey all excited only to hit a huge road block and be back to where you started – I get it trust me I do but it doesn’t have to be this way.
What I want to do is to help people BREAK this cycle. I get so frustrated at times at people not achieving their goals so I have made it my mission to try and help as many people as I can achieve their true potential in life and reach their all-time best. This is my all-time life goal right there and ALWAYS will be.
Now to help I thought I would list (from my experience) the Top Ten (10) Reasons WHY People Fall Off Track so we can ensure it doesn’t happen to you.
Ok let’s begin:
1) Now the first reason people can fall off track in this game is they go guns blazing right out of the blocks at the start and make their diet too “strict” which is only going to end in ONE way. FAILURE! This is never going to end well and something we must never do.
2) Another reason why people unfortunately fall off track is they restrict themselves entirely of the foods they love. Worst. Idea. Ever. Please never do this guys.
3) Another important point to note and something I want to correct is people unfortunately focus their time and energy and thinking on “what” foods they should eat instead of focusing on what macro nutrient / caloric numbers they must hit in order to get results. Hire a professional to get your macros right, hit them religiously and consistently and watch your body change right before your eyes.
4) Another reason from my 13+ years’ experience in this game WHY people fall off track is they choose to over eat on the foods they love on TOP of all their other meals instead of simply calculating these foods into their daily numbers. This is also known as a “calorie surplus”. Never have I understood this and honestly I think it’s down to a lack of knowledge. Educate yourself, get in the habits that if you are going out for a heavy dinner that night no problem just make sure you work out so you are burning calories and then eat a lighter lunch than normal to even things out – so simple right?
5) My next point and unfortunately another reason why people fall off track is they tend to focus far too much time and energy on a “quick fix” instead of understanding the notion that there should NEVER be an “end date” and that this takes time and should be a lifestyle. Sure, I understand that I run 8 and 12 Week programs but the absolute goal of these programs of mine is to then always set people up to succeed for LIFE! There should be no end date to this lifestyle.
6) Another reason why people fall off track and this one is a very popular one in my opinion is people might not get the quick results they were hoping for so they will simply drop off all together and put it in the “too hard” basket. You need to keep going to get the results as once you have seen those crucial results you will then be addicted – I GUARANTEE IT. So keeeeeeeeep going until you see changes and if you’re not seeing changes then immediately seek advice from a professional as to WHY before it’s too late and you lose all your motivation.
7) This next one is all around a lack of knowledge and education when it comes to working out as so people feel intimidated and therefore will lack motivation to go workout. A terrible cause and effect here.
8) Now this next one is HUGE and is all about the voices in people’s head. Man does this one play a HUGE factor and something I am really passionate about. In this game you MUST stay positive and be kind to yourself. Excuses sound good to only those making them up. Destroy them before they destroy you.
9) The next one is an extension to the above and is focused completely on adopting a positive mind set. This is everything. The people who transform are the ones who are on board mentally with an ALL in approach. Transform the mind FIRST and then the body will follow that I can promise you.
10) My last main barrier and reason why people tend to lose focus and fall off track in this game is all around TIME. Yep, a lack of time. For some when wanting to achieve their goals if other things in their life come into play the first thing that usually goes out the window is exercising and workout out. This has to change if you want to succeed. You MUST allocate time in the day as a nonnegotiable when you can work out almost like a meeting with your boss that you simple can’t miss. We ALL have the same 24 hours in the day it’s the ones who want it bad enough that will MAKE it happen no matter what is happening in their life.
