What is your WHY?

What I mean by this is why is it that you set goals in life? Why do you want to achieve certain things in the Health and Fitness world?

Whatever your goals are whether it’s weight loss, fat loss, build more strength, build lean muscle whatever it might be why is it that you want to do it?

What is your reason “WHY”?

The reason I ask because often in this game where I see so many people break down is they lose sight of their “WHY”?

Each of us start on this journey for a reason. For me I started my journey 13+ years ago because I was sick and tired of feeling “skinny” and “weak”. I remember the feelings I got when I played basketball and would get pushed around and then I also remember never really being happy with my body due to being so tall and skinny.

Those same feelings still drive me today 13 years on. Yes, now my “WHY” has certainly changed as the years go on but those same, initial feelings still drive me today.

Now for me it is more about inspiring others to live their best life and I feel if i lead my example each day and continue to create helpful content to you ALL then this then in turn helps me with my “WHY” and is the reason why I now want to keep pushing to better myself.

Each of our goals are different.

Maybe your why is you have a wedding or overseas holiday coming up that you want to look your best for? Maybe you want to lose weight, so you have more energy to play with your kids?

Maybe you’re sick and tired of not feeling happy and confident within yourself so then that is what drives you each day.

Whatever it is I implore you to write it down, have it somewhere that you look at each and every day and use that as a driving force to continue to push yourself further and further each day.

When your motivation drops off (which it will) go back to your “WHY”, go back to those same reasons and feelings that got you started in the first place and use that as extra motivation to keep pushing.

We ALL can push a little harder, we can ALL ask ourselves to go that extra mile as that right there is how we continue to grow and be the absolute best version of ourselves.

I hope this helps you all go that little harder today in your workouts and help you stay motivated to live your best life.
