Lately, I have been getting a LOT of questions (almost daily) asking me “how I don’t get tired”? If you watch my Instagram stories you will see that I train anywhere between 2-3 times a day, run my online coaching business where I am currently coaching 100’s of people each week and work from the minute I open my eyes to the minute I close them. I wake up each day anywhere between 4:30am and 5:00am each day and I work 7 days a week and have lived my life this way for a long time now. I love what I do and wouldn’t have it any other way.

Now because of the way I live my life I often get asked if I ever feel tired and what are some strategies and ways to push yourself both in your workouts and then also in real life which is the motivation and reason for today’s email.

I always get comments like:

“I don’t have time”.

“I get too tired in my workouts’.

“I wish I had the energy to work out like you do”.

“I wish I could get myself out of bed at the same time as you”.

Literally not a single week goes by that I don’t have this sort of conversation with at least 1 person. Truth is I am NO DIFFERENT to anyone. The only thing I believe I may do better than most is I fuel my body correctly each day. Without doubt the number 1 reason WHY I can honestly say I get my body to perform at a high level – working out so much, getting less sleep, waking up early, pushing myself 7 days a week with my online business etc is because of my NUTRITION and the way I fuel my body. I am a firm believer in this.

Nutrition is the single most important thing you want to get right IF you want more energy through-out the day and basically just a better quality of life. When people reach out to me saying they feel “tired” or “run down” or they always get “sick” I straight away ask them what food they are consuming on a daily basis?

Every single person from here ALWAYS then tells what they are filling their plates with each day which is filled with nothing but absolute rubbish and complete nonsense food. Think of it like this. I want you to see your body as a high-performance car. A Ferrari let’s say. If you had a Ferrari would you then choose to put the cheapest, shittest, worst form of fuel in that Ferrari? HELL NO you wouldn’t! This is an expensive car you worked your arse off most likely for most of your adult life for so there is absolutely no way you would put bad fuel in this engine. Instead you would put the absolute best fuel you could find in this car to make it perform at its HIGHEST level.

Well, it’s THE same as the human body. We only get one body to live in, so it makes absolutely no sense to me why you wouldn’t want to fuel it with the best fuel to have yourself perform at the highest-level possible day in and day out. Even if you’re not interested in building muscle simply by making better, smarter, healthier foods choices each day will give you a better quality of life. It will give you more energy to play with your kids and basically just put you in a better mood through-out the day making you more enjoyable to be around.

After being in this game for so long I honestly think so many people have no idea how good they can actually make their bodies FEEL simply by providing it with smarter, healthier choices on a daily basis. There are 1000’s of studies out there that PROVE there is a direct correlation between eating crappy, processed, nonsense food and then feeling like shit for hours afterwards.

If you are constantly eating out on your lunch breaks and filling your body with crap, then you will naturally feel like shit because of it. This is a FACT! Instead, if you opt for something with more nutritional value this over time will have your body functioning at such a higher level. This I can GUARANTEE!

Now let’s be clear. I am not saying we need to restrict ourselves from the foods we love completely that isn’t what I believe in. What I am saying though is if we make smarter choices DAILY in regard to our nutrition then it WILL have a direct effect on our mood, our concentration, our ability to wake up earlier, train harder and then ultimately live longer with a better quality of life.

I was reading an article just last night from a recovering heroin addict who admitted that cleaning up his diet and finding the gym honestly saved him from committing suicide and ultimately saved his life. He now gets to bed early so he can wake up early to get his workouts and meals in. How awesome is that? This fitness lifestyle saves lives and continues to improve lives on the daily. LOVE IT!

If you’re reading this and you find at times you are low on energy, moody and just lacking that motivation to train and get up in the morning then I implore you to change and look at your diet FIRST. Fill your meals with wholefoods that are rich in nutrients and watch your whole life change via new found energy levels.
