Hey Team,

Now I wanted to talk with you all about MIND SET and the power of the mind. I truly believe our lives are dictated by the thoughts that we create in our minds. Our minds believe what we tell it so if you learn to master your mind and learn how to NOT become a slave to it this is the pathway into leading a great, fulfilling life and being the best, we can possibly be.

I read an article where research proved that 75% of people drop off from the goals they set. 75% of people settle and don’t go after what they truly want in life. That to me is a crazy statistic. Why is it that so many fall off the band wagon? Why is it that so many people settle and won’t go after their true dreams and goals?

Is it fear of failure? Is it mind set? I think it is a combination of both….

So how do we fix this? It all goes back to investing time and energy on the mind. Our thoughts become our reality so if we keep telling our self that we can’t do something then it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out that of course is what is going to be the outcome.

This next challenge of mine I have set, all that is going through my mind is that success is the ONLY option. I am flooding my mind literally 1000’s of times a day of thoughts of me crossing the finish line. This is all that I am thinking about and will continue to think about until the job is successfully completed. Will I will be in pain through-out? HELL YES! Will I have thoughts of wanting to quit? Most definitely I will! But my mind will be built to be too strong for them and I will shut them down before they get any momentum. These thoughts won’t matter as success is the ONLY option.

The point of this email is to really explain and re-iterate just how important it is that we invest in our minds before we embark on any challenge we set. Flooding our minds with positive thoughts only on whatever journey we set upon in life in order to achieve SUCCESS truly is the key!

If you find yourself struggling at times, being hard on yourself and telling yourself you can’t do something take a step back, take a deep breath and ask yourself this:

“Would I say these comments and thoughts to someone else?”

Chances are you wouldn’t so why say them to yourself???

Below are some tips that I have been doing lately that have really helped me with my own mind set. I am not perfect but I am definitely in a place where my mind is strong AF and I want to help others be the same.

​​Give them a try if you find that you do struggle sometimes with these challenging thoughts:

1. Meditate. DAILY. There are 1000’s of studies out there that show people who meditate daily live healthier, happier lives. Downloading the ‘smiling mind’ app can be a great way to kick start your mediation journey. Do it today!

2. GET UNCOMFORTABLE. Man, this is a big one! What good comes from being comfortable all the time? How can we possibly grow and get better from that? As humans we are wired to always want to be in comfortable situations.

What I mean by this and in order to strengthen your mind you MUST aim to do all the things that you don’t like doing. Get yourself as uncomfortable as possible. This can be in your workouts or in everyday life. If you hate public speaking, then put your hand up for as many public speaking opportunities as you can.

This is the only way to grow and the only way to develop our mind. I personally absolutely HATE and I mean absolutely with every fiber of my body HATE running which is why I haven’t done it in over 10 years. This is the exact reason why I set my self this next challenge in 12 days’ time. It is the only way I will grow, get better and develop my mind plus it’s for a great cause so double win here.

3. My next tip is around physical exercise. Move your body. This is a great way to challenge yourself both physically and mentally. I think a lot of people don’t actually realise how great we can feel simply from moving their body. Such a great way to strengthen both the mind and body. Swimming, boxing, weights, walking what ever just aim to move your body each day and you will become better.

4. My next tip is around gratitude. Spend time each day focusing your energy on things that you’re grateful for. This shifts your mind set from negative to positive straight away. I personally love doing this one.

5. Listen to positive podcasts. This is a big one and something I have been doing a lot lately and found to be extremely helpful. Rather than wasting time listening to the radio listen to positive affirmation podcasts instead and watch how much of a difference this will make to your mind set.

6. Audit your life. Yep I truly mean it. Sit down and write down all the negative things that don’t make you happy and don’t be shy to write down the negative people that also bring you down. Then without any hesitation remove all those negative things from your life. Have the strength and courage to do it. This one will go such a long way into helping you on your journey – I GUARANTEE it. Be ruthless too there is no time to be wasted on negative people that bring you down. Go for it!

7. The last one is do it for YOU guys! This one is huge. Write down all the reasons why YOU want change and WHY you want to better yourself and make it about YOURSELF not about others or to impress others as ultimately self-love is what’s most important and doing things for YOU should always come first.
